It has been an honor to be the editor of the D7430 newsletter. Through this position, I have met so many dedicated, caring, and hardworking volunteers, all truly embodying the motto of “Service Above Self.” All I did was correct commas and spelling; you all did the work and wrote it up; you supplied the enthusiasm and love of service, and you all made this newsletter worth reading. Thanks to everyone who helped me to get it out there every month, and for trusting me to do it in the first place!

Kutztown University will be hosting Stem Yea July 10-13, 2025. The theme this year is "Astrobiology: the Search for Life on Mars." Be sure to mark your calendars for the Big Ticket Reverse Raffle this September, which is the major fundraiser for Stem Yea.

July is Maternal & Child Health month! Here's a sampling of what some of our clubs are doing to support it:
Allentown Rotarians are volunteering to hand out food to children during the city's Romper Day activities on August 4th.
Bethlehem Morning Star is exploring how they can support Blue Zones, an initiative focused on promoting healthy lifestyles through environmental change.
The Rotary Club of Easton and the women of the Pomfret Club packed purses for mothers at Third Street Alliance for Women & Children.
Morrisville Rotarians will be volunteering at The Carying Place on 7/24. The Carying Place is a nonprofit serving homeless working families with children.
Three clubs have active Flag programs in our District.
Allentown Westis hosting its inaugural Flags for Unity event, honoring military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones with commemorative American flags. Emmaus and West Reading-Wyomissing will both be flying the stars and stripes in their communities to salute our heroes.
Warrington Rotary rocked 8 students with scholarships this year. EIGHT!
Warminster Rotarians honored service members in the Memorial Day Parade, sponsored a ribbon cutting at the new location of the Warminster Food Bank, and honored students with annual scholarships.
