Allentown West Rotary decided to show the world that Rotary Means Business! AWRC is working with other clubs to develop a Rotary Means Business Fellowship chapter in LV and its first program, Conversations Over Cornhole, was a huge success, with other Area 1Rotary Clubs (Emmaus, Whitehall, LV Passport, and Allentown) and the Western Lehigh Chapter Chamber of Commerce joining in. Slatington Club came by to join in the fun as well, and will participate in future events. Among the many guests who learned about Rotary were a few who are exploring becoming new members.

Many corny prizes and corny refreshments were on hand. But the best part is, it was fun!  And Chris Hornaman's photos show that the fun went well into the evening hours. For more photos of the fun, visit Chris's photo gallery.

Allentown West President Gail Micca decided to ride her bike. While she was at it, she asked Rotary members and friends and… well, everyone she came in contact with…to sponsor her bike ride as she Rides for Rotary! What started as a bike ride turned into a great fundraiser. In fact, it was so much fun that she decided to do it again…from to Niagra Falls to Albany (400 miles)! From 20 miles a day, to 30, to 60 to 75… there’s nothing Gail won’t do for Rotary! Meanwhile, she has been posting pictures from her ride on Facebook and keeping us up to date on her progress. Back in the Valley now, watch out… AWRC is working on other programs and fundraisers! You will all be invited to a Casino Night in January and other FUNraisers coming up!
