WELCOME!  Thank you for exploring scholarship opportunities through District 7430 of Rotary International.

This 2014-2015 factsheet was prepared to provide a summary of the most current and relevant information for the District 7430 Leadership, Rotary Clubs, Foundation Chairs, Club Leadership and potential applicants.

For clarity, we have categorized all available scholarships based on funding source;

 I.     ROTARY  INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Rotary International offers two types of Scholarships, namely PEACE FELLOWSHIPS and PACKAGED GRANTS.

     PEACE FELLOWSHIPS

Each year, Rotary selects individuals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at one of our peace centers.
These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship/field study expenses. Two
types of peace fellowships are available.

       MASTER'S DEGREE

Rotary offers master’s degree fellowships at premier universities in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention.
Programs last 15–24 months and require a practical internship of 2–3 months during the academic break. Each year Rotary awards up to
50 master’s fellowships from these institutions:

·                          Duke University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, US

·                          International Christian University, Japan

        at
Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. This program incorporates 2–3 weeks of field study. Rotary awards up to 50
        certificates each year.

II.     DISTRICT 7430 SCHOLARSHIPS

As part of Rotary International’s new Grants model, Districts are empowered to make decisions about
investing District funds so they do the most good in communities near and far.  This includes the ability to fund
Scholarships as well as Community Projects.

For 2014-2015, District 7430 leadership has decided to focus on Community Projects and has not approved any District funds for Scholarships.

There are ideas being explored and models developed for the future.  Please check back periodically for
updates to this factsheet as we intend to include the latest information for you.

Please feel free to send comments and suggestions directly, or through your Rotary Club Leaders and Boards.

        District Grant Procedures.
