PETS 1- 4 Training Date Schedule 2016-17
Welcome President Elects!
To help all of you plan for the year ahead, District Governor Elect Rick Gromis and I, District Trainer Tony have released the following dates to allow you to arrange your schedules. Please bear in mind that we have tried our best to give you as much advanced notice as possible. We are delivering this training to all 43 PE’s and ask for your understanding and in some cases flexibility. While you have 4 parts to your training, DGE Rick and I have over 40 meetings to make them all possible for you.
PETS 1. This year introductory session will be an 1 hour webinar so that it can fit in better with your schedule and you can take from home( The reason we are starting a little later in the evening is so that nobody has to miss their own club meeting that night) In this session we will go over, introductions, what's ahead for you, training dates and learning materials that will be available to help you prepared and be ready for a successful year leading your club come July 1st 2017
We advise that you please download the Presidents Manual NOW ( CLICK HERE ) as it will be the main tool that you will find most helpful as you go thought the PETS process and plan for your year ahead
They will all start at 8.00 - 9.00 PM and you will be sent the web link for this the week before
Area's 1, 2 & 6 ... Tuesday 25th October
Area's 3, 4 & 5.... Wednesday 26th October
Area's 7,8 & 9 .... Thursday 27th October
PETS 2. This is a more structured in person meeting of around 120 minutes held in a larger group where DGE Rick will introduce the Rotary International Theme for 16/17. We will go over the club planning guide, goals and format of the upcoming PETS 3 in King of Prussia. You will receive materials to take with you from this meeting.
Area’s 1,2 & 6 Monday Jan 30 th 6.15 (if you plan to eat) for 7pm @ St Lukes Hospital, Quakertown. 1021 Park Avenue, PA 18951
Area’s 3,4 & 5 Wednesday Feb 1st 6.30 for 7pm @ Good Life Financial Group, 30 Commerce Drive, Wyomissing, PA 19610
Area’s 7,8 & 9 Thursday Feb 2nd 6.15 for 7 pm @ Giuseppe's Pizza, 1380 West Street Rd, Warminster, PA 18974
PETS 3. Mid Atlantic PETS, This is the Rotary mandated 2 day event that all PE’s must attend in King of Prussia, you will find this unique event beneficial to your year. You will be with over 250 fellow PE’s from 5 districts and take part in both plenary and breakout sessions. You are also asked to stay over Friday night (at no cost to you!) to enjoy dinner, networking and avoid travel time very early on Saturday morning
There will also be optional sessions on Thursday 23th. We will inform you the details nearer to PETS 3.
Please also note that if your club has any interest in applying for a Rotary Foundation Grant to do either a District or Global Project in your year starting July 1st 2016, the application closing date is March 30th 2017 by following grant application process which can be found on the district website
PETS 4. District Training Assembly
The final part of our training journey in preparation for your year ahead, hand in your planning guide and goals for the year and last chance for us all to meet as a group to share those plans & any that you may have decided to as an Area with your neighboring clubs . There will be both plenary & breakout sessions on all avenues of Rotary and it is recommended you bring your club officers, committee chairs to learn both whats new and how best to implement this for success in your club
